Rusty Foley, Executive Director
Rusty
Foley has been a board member of Arizona Citizens/Action
for the Arts since 2003, and has served as president of
both organizations. A lifelong
Phoenician, Ms. Foley has spent her career as a
communications and public affairs professional and a
community leader. As an activist in the arts, she also
has served on the boards of Childsplay and the Arizona
Theatre Company, and on the Phoenix Art Museum Corporate
Council. She was named the Phoenix Arts and Business
Council’s Arts Board Member of the Year in 2007, and
received Phoenix Theatre’s “Women Who Care” award for
outstanding achievement in 2009.
Michelle Peralta, Administrative Manager
Michelle
started with AzCA as a volunteer in February 2008. By
May of the same year she had become a permanent member
of our team. In addition to administrative duties and
office management, Michelle also performs financial
tasks and manages event logistics. She received her BA
in Communication and a Minor in Event Management from
Arizona State University. Outside of work, she remains
involved in her community by volunteering as a mentor
for Arizona Quest for Kids and is very involved with the
Cajun Cactus Foundation. She enjoys taking in the city
through, bike riding, hiking, photographing architecture
and supporting theatres and museums – she is known in
her community for encouraging her peers to do the same.
Michael Soto, Outreach Manager
Michael
has worked for AzCA/AA for 2 years as the Outreach Manager.
He served two terms in AmeriCorps as a Public Ally and
during that time helped to start the Arts Education program at AzCA/AA.
He is a graduate student at Arizona State University in Justice Studies
and also earned his B.A. from ASU.
Michael has worked in the nonprofit industry and public interest
sectors for 11 years. He is a classically trained cellist and
participated in arts education throughout his K-12 education
in the Mesa Public School District. Michael works in the arts education program,
building relationships with community partners and stakeholders, grant writing,
and integrating digital outreach tools at AzCA/AA.
